Leigh Myers
Leigh Myers started cooking at the age of seven but it was when he was offered an apprenticeship at Paul Heathcote's School of Excellence, now in Manchester, at the age of 15 that he decided to go for a career as a chef (and put dreams of being a professional golfer to one side).
Leigh has worked in several top restaurants around the Uk which include
- Chez Nico’s in London
- Northcote Manor (working under Steve Williams and Nigel Haworth)
- Heathcotes-Preston, Lancashire as Head Chef
- Park Hotel –Lancashire (Where he built up the restaurant and its reputation within 6 months & also earned 2 AA rosettes)
- Heathcotes Michelin starred flagship restaurant at Longridge – Leigh worked there as Head Chef where he won a caterer acorn a Michelin star three AA rosettes & an Egon Ronay accolade which is all in all a massive acheivement
Now executive chef at the Grosvenor Pulford hotel in Chester, the 27-year-old feels his decision to forgo the country's fairways for different kinds of greens was the right one.
